So I have been really bad about keeping everyone updated on my life for the past two months. and I apologize for that.
Quick synopsis of my life recently, I have met my $3,500 goal which is really exciting but now I have hit kind of a lull in my fundraising. Fortunately, I have one, possibly two churches that will be helping me to raise some of the money.
This past weekend my social club here at school went to Branson, MO on our Spring Outing and had the opportunity to help out a church in the Harrison, AR area with some service projects. It was a great expreience to get out and help the community and to get to know my amazing sisters and big brothers in my social club. I think weekends and adventures like the ones I had this past weekend will be what I will miss the most once I graduate and go on this trip, but I can't wait to see what adventures God will take me on.
I have a scary 3 1/2 weeks until I graduate from college, I am really not ready for this! I cannot wait to see what God has planned for me over the summer and over the next year. I am really excited for this trip and am excited for God to use me in any way He can.
Keep checking back, hopefully soon I will have a t-shirt design up to help me raise money!

Another short post, but hopefully a good one. :) Life as college student for me is rather rough righ now, trying to juggle classes, and friendships, and the world race stuff is crazy! But I know that God will help me get through it and survive! :)
My classes are going okay, but the more I get into them the more I feel like I am just ready to graduate and go on this trip! I have been able to kind of get to know some of my fellow racers (I have been reading the posts on our facebook page) and am really excited about being able to meet them in person. I would like to thank my friends and family for being so supportive of me during this adventure I am taking on, this is probably really hard on y'all but your support has really been a blessing to me and y'all are the reason I am getting through all of this crazy-ness in my life. So THANK YOU!!!! :)
I have heard from many people that they are interested to hear about ways that they can pray for me, so I am going to start ending my posts with prayer requests. I would greatly appreciated it if y'all would pray for me. Thanks!
School (of course :) )
My friendships at school and at home
Continuous fundraising
My fellow racers
Have a great week!

I would just like to take this post to thank everyone for the support that I have already recieved, whether it is prayer or financial. I am so grateful for everything I have already recieved and I am well on my way to my goal! Thank you!
I will be making a presentation to my grandparents chuch in about two weeks to hopefully get more support, so I'm going to need lots of prayer for that. :) I'm not very good at public speaking.
Again I would like to say thank you for all of the prayer and financial support that has been given!!! :)

Yet another quick post, ah the life of a college student! So things are going pretty good so far with the fundraising, I haven't gotten that much but I just sent the letters out and God is good and will provide! I have been really busy here with school, we just got done with Rush week and we are over the hump in Pledge week. The girls that God has put into our club this year are amazing and we have been so blessed by them already AKA they doubled our club! So it has been kind of crazy around here.
The closer my launch date gets the more excited I get, which is probably a bad thing because I start thinking about it and then I don't want to do any of my school work! :) I have been blessed by so many great friends and family who want to help me out and I thank all of y'all so much!!!
Time to get back to studying :(
213 days!!!!!
P.S. Sorry for how scattered these are, I'm not very good at it yet! :)

I honestly have no expectation for this trip, and I really don't want to. I want to go into this trip with an open mind and just let God do His work through me. My friends and family tell me that I will come back a different person, and I don't doubt that I will but I am trying to not go into this trip with an idea of what I will take from it.

Before this past year I had never felt like I was called to missions at all. I always thought that I would go to school, graduate college, go to grad school, then find a job (the boring monotonous stuff everyone does). I was going into my last semester at Ouachita Baptist University and I still had no idea what I was going to do after I graduated. About a month into my last year one of my closest friends who is also graduating in May announces that she feels God calling her to work at an orphanage in Africa for about 6-8 months after she graduates. At that point I am really freaking out feeling like I am really behind on everything, but it also makes me start thinking. Her story led me to begin thinking about doing something other than going straight to grad school; so I really began thinking about traveling. I have always wanted to travel, but after I heard my friend's story I felt led to travel with a purpose.
A couple of weeks later I told another close friend about what God was doing in my life and she told me about the World Race. I began to pray about whether or not this was really what God wanted me to do. And as I continued to look into it I began to see God calling me to go on this mission trip. As things went along and I started to go through the process of registering for the race, everything started falling into place.
As I said at the beginning, before this year I didn't feel called to the mission field but now I am so excited to be able to go to on this trip and cannot wait to be able to share God's word with as many people as I can.
